Where to start with this rendition of Link's great adventures? As a direct sequel of Nintendo's Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, You start off on the high seas when all of a sudden, Tetra, Princess Zelda, is kidnapped by the mysterious Ghost Ship. Most of you should know what happens next! Link's off to save his leading lady.
As soon as you start, you'll notice right away that you are forced into using the DS stylus. Although it's nice to offer the option to the people who'd prefer it, I was pretty turned off by being forced into using it. Taping the touch screen to perform various actions such as picking up pots, attacking enemies, and firing your boats cannon when on the high seas, which leads to another problem I had with the game, Why force the player to play through the sailing sequences? Although navigation is as simple as drawing a path on your map, the whole feature seems more gimmicky then anything else to me.
Now onto why anyone would want this game. It's a Legend of Zelda game, have they ever done you wrongly before? Although the controls are different, this game is the same anyone who has played a few L.o.Z. games would expect, build up your inventory with useful trinkets, explore temples full of puzzles, and fight a few boss battles along the way. The graphics are in a cel-shaded manor. Although this upset many hardcore Zelda fans back when Wind Waker was released, the graphics seem perfect to me for a Nintendo DS game, also, expect the great memorable tunes you've come to expect from the series.
So in the end, even though I honestly don't care for the controls, it's a Legend of Zelda title that comes through for any fan of the series. 4/5

LOL this needs to be deleted. Anyone that can say amazing visuals about a DS game obviously has little to no gaming experience.. Wait nm I saw who wrote it now and I understand the bad review from a fellow Sony fan.

I think you have your games mixed up. You are talking about Phantom Hourglass.
