I was suprised to hear that RE4 was being ported to the Wii and not to mention it been out for a few years but I was amazed and my love for this game was ignited again. Lets starts out with the good the controls are very smooth and work very well with the Wii-Mote the story is still great and the many different characters are still great but there is no extra content and the graphics look last gen (A very good last gen) but the Wii is capable of better graphics then that. All the boss fights are still there and are just amazing fun to do. There is still alot more things to do the campaign , mercenaries and the Ada missions are good and they can give you atleast 20-30 hours of play but its always fun to play them again. Resident Evil 4 on the Wii is still a great game and you will have alot of fun with it.
It's worth another encore!

The survival horror game, Resident Evil 4, which graced the PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo Gamecube, is now back on the Nintendo Wii, and with brand new control scheme, thanks to the Wii remote and nunchuk. But is this game worth another encore? Or will it make you lose your mind and head? Story: 6 years after the events of Residnet Evil 2, Leon S. Kennedy is sent on a mission to find the President's missing daughter somewhere in Spain. Gameplay: The gameplay of Resident Evil 4 is now better with the Wii remote and nunchuk. You aim the remote and press the B button to fire your weapon. To reload, simply aim and shake the remote. The Wii remote now makes the knife command easier. Swing the remote and Leon will automatically slash at the nearest target. It takes a while to get use to the controls and if you don't like it, you can use the Classic controller or the Nintendo Gamecube controller instead. Graphics: The graphics, although shows no difference from the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube other then a real wide screen support, it stills looks amazing. Sound: The sounds is so realistic. With the Wii, you can hear your weapons through the mic of the Wii remote. It sounds so real that it makes you feel like your actually using the weapons in real life. Overall: It is disapointing that Capcom has not added any new features, but it still has all of the features from the PS2, making it the best version. If you miss this game before, you should pick it up and people who already have a different version of this game, should relive the nightmare and greatness of Resident Evil 4.

I haven't played the Wii Edition yet, but i am a big fan of Resident Evil and i own almost every U.S. edition of Resident Evil unopened ---- yeah, i'm a big fan as you can tell. I give this score a 5.00 out of 5.00 because i believe from hearing others say that the motion sensing combined with this version of Resident Evil 4, has made it the best-to-date. And whether its true or not, Resident Evil 4 has already become one of my most favorite Resident Evil games to date.
loved it

This was alot of fun to play. The first time through I have to say was awesome, and so was the third and fourth. I normally get rid of a game after once through maybe twice, but this game had me coming back for more. The controls were slick easy to use and made since. The graphics were awesome for a port from a older system. The story different from res. evil games of old but that made it all the better, I expected one thing and got something better. The game was fun held my attention. It was worth the 30 dollars and then some. It will take around ten hours the first time through but once you upgrade your weapons the second and third time just rock all the more and take about 5 hrs. Look around when you play and be prepared to swing that wii controller.
RE4, A Fresh Perspective

This game was my first foray into the Resident Evil series since the original PS One version. That fact gives me a clarity that other reviewers may not bring to the table. Most people reviewing RE4s Wii edition simply give commentary on how this rates as a cross-system transplant. My intent is to review this game for the gamer unfamiliar with the series, or at least the previous versions of the game. I thought RE4/Wii was an excellent game; it has definitely received more play time on my system than any of my other games. The highlights: better graphics than I expected, smooth gunplay with the wand, effective button use, enough unlockable items to extend entertainment considerably. And of course, the game was spooky. To be honest, it made me pretty jumpy to play for an hour or so after dark with the lights out. I will begin with better graphics. My only pre RE4 experience with the Wii included 3 games: Wii Sports, Rayman, and Wario SmoothMoves. Between that and reports of poor graphic quality on the Wii in general, I was expecting graphics along the lines of Far Cry (translation: lousy). I was pleasantly surprised. Im not claiming they were an improvement, but they werent bad at all. As for smooth gunplay, that was the major selling point of this game. The hand-eye experience was so much more enjoyable that the typical thumb-eye setup I am used to. I look forward to playing Umbrella Chronicles with the Zapper in the near future. Speaking of which, does anyone know if it is possible to smoothly play RE4 with a Zapper? I would check for myself, but they are all sold out around Garland right now. Effective button use: most button configurations came naturally as they were initially set. That is a good thing because it was easy to get used to, and more so, because the standard setup could not be modified. Unlockable items in RE4 have me playing through for my 3rd time (twice on normal so I could buy the tommy gun, and once on professional just because I can). I do have a few problems with the final product. They are as follows. The actions (other than aiming) were not nearly as realistic and immersive as those in Metroid. I would have been happy to see more than one move with the knife, and possibly even movement involving the nunchuk, especially actions such as climbing. The unlockable items were not worked into the cut scenes. If I have to play all the way through a second time just to enjoy mobster Leon, I would prefer that the designers reworked his outfit into the cutscenes; its like cookies without the milk. Finally, I feel that the merchant ought to have sold ammunition. I did enjoy the challenge, but I think with a high enough price point, extra ammo would have added just one more dimension to the strategy element of the game. Im going to go with 4.75 out of 5, with the caveat that this game could have earned higher if the developers would have worked out some of the minor kinks instead of releasing it for Wii as early as they did.
