A purported insider close to Rockstar Games says Microsoft is "wrong" to expect downloadable Grand Theft Auto IV content on Xbox 360 this fall.
When will Niko get more adventures?
"It'll be in January or February," the unnamed source told Videogaming 247 today, speaking of the exclusive GTA IV expansion pack for Xbox 360.
The information directly contradicts, however, statements made by Microsoft just last week, in which the company said the first episodes of GTA IV content would be available for download this fall on 360.
Microsoft was not immediately available for comment when contacted by GamePro on Thursday.

As much as I enjoyed GTA4, it left alot of loose ends in its story. Michelle relationship was left with any closure and so was the endings for both Roman and Katie. I bought the PS3 version of GTA4 because I felt I didn't need the DL content. If the DL content expands on the ends of the game, I might be interested in it but if it is more run around, shot this guy or kill that guy, I'll pass. Some of the missions were top notch but most of them were to repeatative.

Is there anyone still playing this (that hasn't beaten it yet?)...and if the expansion pack costs MS Points (which it most likely will) GTA IV will continue to collect dust on my shelf.

I don't have a next gen console yet so I don't care. There are also plenty of good games to play anyway.

I agree, they are taking too long with these expansions, GTA will be long forgotten by then

Well I'm gonna have to believe the confirmed statement straight from Microsoft rather than the "unnamed source". For those asking, yes, people are still playing GTA4, and I happen to be one of them, and yes i've beaten it twice already. This will of course end once The Force Unleashed arrives in stores.
