While game details are more sparse than a miss-hit from Federer, Electronic Arts did confirm Wii Motion Plus controls for greater accuracy and Wimbledon licensing, making EA's upcoming title the only video game to feature the celebrated tennis tournament.

"Our new tennis franchise, coming first to Wii, will put fans right into the action and provide the excitement, tension and drama that true champions feel in legendary matches," said EA Sports president Peter Moore, "like the classic from Wimbledon just last month."

The "all-new" EA tennis game arrives in 2009 on Wii, and predictably on PS3 and Xbox 360 shortly after.

HAHAHA, notice how the above ad says, "will be available for the Wii, and next generation consoles", meaning the Wii is not next-gen. Even EA admits it the Wii suxx. You fanboys have fun with that.

My wife loves tennis, I bought here the newest tennis game for the 360, she made me return it...this will be good for the wii, with the motion controller, but probably a poor seller on the 360/ps3 systems.
