Valve on Monday celebrated "100 awards and counting" for the critically acclaimed Orange Box, a five game compilation for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
Team Fortress 2, one of five games
According to Valve, The Orange Box "has racked up over 100 first place awards, 50 Game of the Year honors, [and] over 50 craft awards for special achievements in gaming."
"While some have called it the best value in video game history, Valve took a chance with the product mix in The Orange Box," said Gabe Newell, president of Valve. "After earning the top review scores of all time on two platforms, becoming a best seller on multiple platforms, and accumulating over 100 awards, that risk has been rewarded by gamers and critics around the world."
Regrettably, The Orange Box suffers from a minor case of "What the crap is an Orange Box," a confusing name that may have discouraged some gamers from trying the title.
The Orange Box is available now on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC and coming soon as budget games sold separately.
